The third and final day of the Best Ranger Competition is being partially held at Port Columbus on Sunday, May 10. More than 15 Blackhawk helicopters will land on the field behind the museum, drop off Ranger teams which will run down to the river below the museum then jump into canoes and head off to Fort Benning. Access is limited but free to the public. Museum staff will be on hand to sell hot dogs and hamburgers for the event, which we are told, will be dropping off Rangers between 10 and 3 p.m. for the most part.

The public will have an excellent view point to watch both the landings and the canoe take offs while on the site.
