Memorial Day Commemoration at Port Columbus

The National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus will hold a ceremony to remember those who lost their lives in the sea services during the Civil War.
The sailors and marines who gave their lives are often overlooked, and we want to make sure their service and sacrifice is remembered.
Join us at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 25. After a brief address in honor of the sailors and marines, uniformed sailors will fire the authentic naval cannon (a 7" Brooke Rifle) in lieu of a rifle salute, which is both more fitting and more impressive to observe!
After the event, hamburgers and hot dogs with be available for purchase.
