The Admiral's Circle Banquet for 2009 is set for Monday, October 12 at Port Columbus. This year's honoree is Clason Kyle, a long time supporter of the Naval Museum. Early ticket sales for the event have been brisk, but there are still plenty available.
This year's silent auction has a pile of terrific material already also, but more items are welcome, so if anyone has items which would be appropriate for the auction, please call the museum at 706-327-9798. One of the featured items this year is a small cannon complete with carriage and implements.
Entertainment will be provided by a songfest provided by Steve Valentini and Debbie Anderson who did an incredibly popular appearance at the event several years ago and are returning by popular demand.

                        Each October, Port Columbus hosts the Admiral's Circle Dinner which honors someone who has supported the museum to an extraordinary extent.  The dinner is the largest fund-raising event of the year for the naval museum and is attended by nearly 250 people.
                       
Entertainment is always featured at the black tie affair, along with a very special silent auction which always showcases works from Columbus' finest artists, along with an array of services and goods from merchants throughout Columbus who have donated the items to help the museum with its mission.
